A huge congratulations to our Men’s 3rd XI, the Infrequents, who have been awarded the Oxford University Sports team of the Year Award 2026!
The Infrequents have had an incredible season, achieving success across multiple competitions. They obtained the BUCS Midlands 4A title after an unbeaten run, winning all 8 of their fixtures. Continuining from this unbeaten league run, they rounded up the season winning the BUCS Conference Trophy.
They have had an amazing season this year, and from the words of 2025/26 Ians captain Alex Mainds:
"Beating Aston on shuffles to lift the BUCS plate. Unbeaten BUCS League run. Oxford team of the year. It has been a phenomenal year for the Ians and I couldn't be prouder.
"The hard work, dedication, and brotherhood the lads have shown through adversity on and off the pitch has been truly admirable. I am sincerely grateful for every man's efforts this season, alongside the indispensable support of our amazing coaches and OUHC committee. 15 crates, and onto even bigger things next season."
This is an outstanding achievement and again, a large congratulations to all the players and coaches. Truly well deserved.
